Worried You Could Catch a Cold? Then Practice Bad Hand-Eye Coordination.

Paul from East Edinburgh, NC writes to The Satirical Post's health advisor Gregor Wolfowitz.

“Salutations, Gregor. can I catch a cold from being in cold weather?”

I do not know why you would ask about this in the middle of summer, Paul, but I’ll answer your question. Although cold weather makes one more susceptible to illness, it cannot be the root cause.

The phrase ‘catching a cold’ may appear to be a simple idiom, but in fact, the saying has roots in medical science. The common cold is what doctors call a ‘projectile virus’. In order to be infected, someone must throw the cold at you, and you in turn, must catch it. As someone with particularly poor hand-eye coordination, I have never had a cold in my life. On an unrelated note, I’ve also never had a catch with my father.
